Pinkwashing is a form of propaganda that enables governments to manipulate public opinion by appearing to support LGBT rights. This is done deliberately to present a faux progressive image in order to distract from or condone violence towards entire communities. In this conversation, we'll highlight the complexities of pinkwashing as it impacts Palestinian liberation. As queer and trans people, it is vital for us to resist attempts to co-opt our struggle to justify ethnic cleansing, colonization, and genocide.
