What is HAQ? | Halal And Queer Collective

The word HAQ in Arabic has many meanings depending on the context, but the main one is: Truth. The Halal And Queer (HAQ) Collective aims to be a place where Queer Muslims can live their truth without fear of judgement or spiritual exclusion. The Collective is a Trans, Black, and Amazigh-led, Queer Muslim group which hosts healing-focused and spiritually supportive programming in unceded and occupied Nacotchtank and Piscataway territories (areas known as DC/MD/VA). If interested in programming, check out our calendar below, or reach out to us.
