Each year, on March 30th, the Palestinian people observe Land Day, marking the events of 1976 when Palestinians in the lands occupied in 1948 staged a general strike and orchestrated large-scale demonstrations to denounce the zionist state’s theft and occupation of Palestinian lands. March 30th, 1976 culminated in the martyrdom of six Palestinians at the hands of zionist police forces. We remember today the freedom fighters and martyrs dedicated to the liberation of our land and people, and we honor them in our commitment to learn from their lives and legacies as we continue to struggle for the liberation of our homeland. Palestinian land is a source of life, love, and steadfastness against zionist settler-colonialism, genocide, and dispossession.

In the continuous genocidal seizure of land, bodies, hearts, and dreams, how do we envision Healing through land-based practices? How do we re-establish our connection to the land and engage in the revival of our traditional wellness methods, supported by resources to relearn and reclaim them?
