A member of our community, Niki, is joining us to host a zine workshop. In this workshop, our guest artist, Niki Afsar (2021 International Residency Artist at the New York Art Residency and Studios, 2021 Open Creativity Residency at the Trinacria Theatre Company, and published poet), will guide participants in some free writing to connect with our present selves, creating a brief record of ourselves in this shared moment and remembering that—in a society that seeks to control our narratives—to write our selves can be a radical act of love.

Bring something to write on and with (markers, pencils, etc), as well as scissors (or a knife) and a rectangular piece of paper. By the end of the workshop, everyone will have a small zine of their writing to serve as a record and memento.
