Join thousands across the world to march with Palestine for land and liberation!
Land Day (يوم الأرض) is rooted in Palestinian resistance against settler colonialism and affirms the right of return for all Palestinians to their sovereign homeland. It commemorates the uprising on March 30, 1976, when Palestinians organized strikes and protested against the theft of tens of thousands of dunams of Palestinian land by the zionist entity. In response, zionist occupation forces shot and killed 6 Palestinians, and injured hundreds.
March 30 also marks the 6 year anniversary of the beginning of the Great March of Return, where thousands of Palestinians in Gaza marched along the illegal border that separates them from the rest of Palestine. Once again, the occupation forces retaliated by brutally murdering over 230 Palestinians and injuring over 36,000.
This year, Land Day reminds us of the Palestinian people’s commitment to defend their land from the destruction, appropriation, and colonization of the zionist settler-colonial project. On March 30, we will rise together to honor our land, martyrs, prisoners, and our people’s will to resist and continue the struggle against settler colonialism and occupation.
